Surf and Turf: New York Steak and Snow Crab Legs

The weather has been super hot and humid this week, and I’ve been really lazy to cook dinner ever since we got back from our vacation. Therefore, here is our quick and lazy but yummy dinner from last night. I marinated the steak and pan fried, steam the snow crab legs, and use ready to eat mix salad.

Grocery list

1 lb New York steak boneless
1lb Snow crab legs
1 bag Fresh Express 50/50 mix (Spring mix and baby spinach)
Asian sesame ginger dressing by Open Nature

Steak Marinade

1 lb New York Steak boneless
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 1/2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp sugar
1 1/2 Phu Quoc brand fish sauce or 3 crabs brand fish sauce
1 1/2 tsp Golden Mountain Seasoning Sauce
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce

Rinse and pat the steak dry.

In a small bowl mix all the ingredients together, pour it over the steak about 15-30 minutes before cook.

On medium high heat, heat up the frying pan, add 2 tablespoon of oil or butter. Place your steaks in the pan,  cook about 3-5 minutes each side. Exact cooking time depends on the thickness of the steak and your personal preference

In a stock pot add 1 cup of water and Snow crab legs, bring it to boil for about 5 minutes.

On dinner plates add: salad, steak, crab legs, and rice. Drizzle salad dressing over the salad.

  1. I like having sesame and ginger in my Asian style salad dressing but never try this brand before.
    This seems to be a fulfilling dinner to me :D
